N32MH flying over the North Slope of Alaska on an urgent mission to deliver much needed supplies to a hard working field tech.
A hard working field tech happy to receive her much needed supplies. York Peppermint Patties and crumb cake. Yum yum.

Old News...
You may recall that back in July I did a rescue of an injured climber on El Diente Peak in Colorado.
Well a week later I got a call for another rescue. A woman was hit by rock fall and broke her arm at 13,700 on Mt Wilson, just one ridge over from where I did the previous rescue one week before.
The cool thing about this rescue was, as I found out later, there were two different people in the area who were taking video of it from different locations. Those videos were posted on youtube and I have links to them here.

Responsible for the Alaska Pipeline...
This well head is one of the very first wells in Alaska and is what enabled the discovery of oil, which resulted in the Alaska Pipeline. This well head is located just a couple miles north of Umiat Alaska.
Climate Monitoring in ANWR
In the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge with the USGS. This is a beautiful area with Moose, Grizzly, Polar bear, Muskox, Wolves, Wolverines and Caribou. Everyday we get to see something. This is the reason I love Alaska.
Here Shane and Frank prepare to check the Climate Monitoring system.
This is what a climate monitoring system looks like. They (USGS) have several of these devices spread all over the North Slope, from the Brooks Range going north to the Arctic Ocean, and from the Bearing Sea on the west coast going east to the Canadian border.

Back to... Alaska
Well I think I'm finally starting to get tired of this back and forth from Alaska to Colorado to Alaska to Colorado to Alaska to... well you get the point.
So I thought I was going to be spending this summer in Colorado but it turns out I had to come back up to Alaska to replace our pilot on the BLM contract. It's all good though because I really do like Alaska and it's great to get to see and spend time with the old crew. They're all a bunch of good people.
I'm in the Aurora Hotel in Prudoe Bay (Deadhorse) which is why I have internet and I'm able to upload some pictures. So here's a few various shots of my adventures from the last couple of weeks.
This is my cockpit. Sexy huh?
Just a cool picture.

I think Shane is thinking "I'm Too Sexy for my Helicopter"...
